If you are following this month's blog hop, you should have came from

This month the theme is scrapbook pages.  I don't do much scrapbooking but when I do, I do enjoy it.
This time I get to do a scrapbook page for a ministry for Hope Chapel West O'ahu.
The ministry is called:
Bake A Blessing
They are a team of bakers and drivers who reach out to children/youth with a birthday cake made especially for them when they, due to circumstances, would not have one.

The pictures above are from another Do Something ministry from Hope Chapel called
Kids Rock
They are a team of volunteers who reach out to the children of the Pupu'ole community in
Waipahu.  They build relationships within this lower class community and lead the childred into a relationship with Jesus and help them grow in their faith.

The leadership team are so commpassionate for these kids it is reflected on the smiles on the children's faces.  Every other Saturday Kids Rock meets up at the community's park and they share the love of God.  They have been a ministry in this area for more than a year.

Summer Love

"If you are participating in the blog hop, you should have come from Samantha's blog, and if not, then you should start from the beginning with Samantha's blog until you come to my blog.
 I'm second on the list.

This month we were asked to create a project on what summer means to me.  Summer reminds me of love and the beach.  Living in Hawaii, we get to go to the beach all year round but so much so in the summer with school out of session.  I don't have kids but I have a group of teens at my church who always talks about going to the beach during the summer.

The love of my life does not live on the islands, (by choice), so I wanted to make a card dedicated to him.  I wish he was here and so I made a special "mung and pung" chair set.
It's my version of "his & hers".
I love the gingham paper ~ I finally opened it up (from the starter kit) and had a chance to play with it. The colors and design are so pretty!

I went to my cousin's BKP 1st anniversary party and they performed their own version of
"Summer breeze".  BKP stands for Broke Kids Project.  It's a collaboration of teens (from our church) making music.  The music is not strictly christian music but a mix of their musical talents. I'm so proud of them, I wish I had a video from last night to show off.

I'll just settle for Jason Mraz's mix ~ Enjoy the video before you're off to your next stop!

Now on to your next stop Tamra Grandi's blog.

July Blog Hop!!!

You Rock!
in the spotlight
dets: CS: sugar, blueberry, and cherry; Stamps: rock star and tiny star;
inks: amuse dye and momento lady bug; Others: cherry twine.
July's blog hop is about what this month stands for: our freedom and independence but most of all: those men and women who was, is, and are out there sacrificing their lives defending our freedom.  A very special friend of mine lost his life in Iraq 3 years ago and I have family members who are currently in the military.  This card is especially dedicated to them: Josh M., Gordon D., Jonathan D., Wilma L., Jesand A., John M., Russell S., and many others....

"If you are participating in the blog hop, you should have come from Dana Vincent's blog and if not, then you should start from the beginning with Samantha's blog until you come to my blog.  Now on to your next stop Regina Ellison's blog.

Thank you for visiting!  Enjoy the Blog Hop!
